Lawn Care Technician - Spencer, MA

Pay:   

With Pesticide License: $20-$32 production pay with opportunity for commission pay from sales

Job Duties:

• Provide basic lawn care services such as but not limited to: fertilizer, weed control, grub control, etc.

• Provide lawn analysis quotes to potential clients.

• Analyze and provide recommendations to improve the quality of a client’s lawn.

• Complete all paperwork properly and in a timely manner.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned truck and equipment.

• Door to door canvassing (generates sales leads during Winter)

• Generate new leads and sales of new prospective clients and also by getting add-ons for existing clients.

Requirements:

• High school diploma

• Get and maintain Pesticide license

• A minimum of 6 months of client service or/and general labor experience

• Able to work long hours during peak production times Monday - Friday and Saturdays as needed

• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds

• Valid driver’s license

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Able to work under minimum supervision

• Must pass background check

Work Conditions:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Requires good manual dexterity

• Excellent stamina is required

• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold 

• Work hour’s 7:00am start – work until daily assigned production is completed Monday through Friday and/or Saturday hours. One 30-minute meal break for 6 hours worked and one ten-minute break in the morning and one ten-minute break in the afternoon during a work shift of at least eight hours.
